Thomas O. Sanner was born and raised in Decatur and returned to join Samuels Miller as an associate attorney in August 2018. He was admitted to practice law in Illinois by its Supreme Court in November of 2018.
Thomas graduated from Eisenhower High School in 2008 before attending Richland Community College and later, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree majoring in Molecular and Cellular Biology from UIUC in 2012. After working as a lab technician in microbiology labs on the UIUC campus and a short stint in Milwaukee, WI, he was accepted to the Southern Illinois University School of Law, where he served as a student note editor for the Law Journal, a research assistant/textbook editor for Professor George Mocsary, and as President of the Intellectual Property Society before graduating Cum Laude with his Juris Doctorate in 2018.
Thomas’ general civil law practice includes work in estate planning, trusts, bankruptcy, corporations and LLCs, mechanics liens, business transactions, contracts, and civil litigation.
